This power causes instant diminution, halving your height, length, and width and dividing your weight by 8. This decrease changes your size category to the next smaller one. You gain a +2 size bonus to Dexterity, a -2 size penalty to Strength (to a minimum effective Strength score of 1), a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +1 size bonus to Armor Class due to your reduced size. If your new size is Tiny, you have a space of 2 ½ feet and a natural reach of 0 feet (meaning that you must enter an opponent’s square to attack). If your new size is Diminutive, you have a space of 1 foot and a natural reach of 0 feet. This power doesn’t change your speed. All your equipment, worn or carried, is similarly reduced by the power. Melee and projectile weapons deal less damage. Other psionic or magical properties are not affected by this power. Any affected item that leaves your possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size. This means that thrown weapons deal their normal damage (projectiles deal damage based on the size of the weapon that fired them). Multiple effects that reduce size do not stack, which means (among other things) that you can’t use a second manifestation of this power to further reduce yourself.

Augment
You can augment this power in one or more of the following ways.

1. If you spend 6 additional power points, this power decreases your size by two size categories. You gain a +4 size bonus to Dexterity, a -4 size penalty to Strength (to a minimum effective Strength score of 1), a +2 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +2 size bonus to Armor Class due to your reduced size. 2. If you spend 6 additional power points, you can manifest this power as a swift action instead of a standard action. 3. If you spend 2 additional power points, this power’s duration is 1 minute per level rather than 1 round per level.

While the duration of this power lasts, you become aware of the presence of any creatures with hostile intent within 30 feet of you, and their direction from you (but not their specific location). The power detects active aggression, as opposed to vigilance. In addition, while this power is active you cannot be surprised or caught flat-footed by creatures that are susceptible to mind-affecting powers. While under the effect of this power, you can make Sense Motive checks as a free action against anyone within 30 feet of you. The power can penetrate barriers, but 3 feet of stone, 3 inches of common metal, 1 inch of lead, or 6 feet of wood or dirt blocks it.

  • Aberration: Elans are not subject to spells or effects that affect humanoids only, such as charm person or dominate person.
  • Small: As a Small creature, a halfling gains a +1 size bonus to Armor Class, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +4 size bonus on Hide checks, but she uses smaller weapons than humans use, and her lifting and carrying limits are three-quarters of those of a Medium character.
  • Elan base land speed is 20 feet.
  • Elans (unlike most aberrations) do not have darkvision.
  • Naturally Psionic: Elans gain 2 bonus power points at 1st level. This benefit does not grant them the ability to manifest powers unless they gain that ability through another source, such as levels in a psionic class.
  • Resistance (Su): Elans can use psionic energy to increase their resistance to various forms of attack. As an immediate action, an elan can spend 1 power point to gain a +4 racial bonus on saving throws until the beginning of her next action.
  • Resilience (Su): When an elan takes damage, she can spend power points to reduce its severity. As an immediate action, she can reduce the damage she is about to take by 2 hit points for every 1 power point she spends.
  • Repletion (Su): An elan can sustain her body without need of food or water. If she spends 1 power point, an elan does not need to eat or drink for 24 hours.

Bio:

Razzo has just recently escaped the confines of the Grib’divven locality. Grib’divven is a masterpiece gnome enginuity and clockwork construction. Made from entirely salvage materials and built upon what may have been a grand castle from days past, the city is home to thousands of a troublesome race known as the Whisper Gnomes. The variation of gnome duped the lesser gnome race into eternal servitude and thus established themselves aas the premier locailty for slave, trade, mercenary purchasing, and technology development in all of these lands known as the wastes.

For Razzo the world has always been like this, a zombie strewn wasteland filled with Bigg’n slavers, cut throat bandits, unspeakable horrors, and Grib’divven hunters. If you weren’t any of the following that meant you were the last category, “Prey.”

Much of Razzo’s memories are fragmented, he remembers having a family, the survival games they played, but knows nothing as to how he ended up in a Grib’divven Utility Training (GUT) site. He just knew he had to get the hell out of there. He was part of some new project, a new variation of the psi tempered soldier that could be linked with some monster called a “Ravid.” During this process it became easier for Razzo to think on his own and by taking his time he observed and learned, to prepare for his escape.

Razzo did manage to escape alone, and with small glass device known as a “randomizer” to escape out through one of the dimensional portals hidden in the wastes. He learned a lot while preparing and while the whisper gnome researchers spoke in comfort thinking Razzo was unaware incapable of personnel thought. Some group known as the grasp is affiliated to Grib’divven, Razzo had a family and they may still be alive, and finally, portal can only be opened with a randomizer or a matching portal key.

Well he pawned a randomizer, skipped out of town and sought out a portal in the ruins of the wastes. Quickly he realized how badley sought after he was. Bands of Elan’s and even hired Bigg’n slavers were being charted to find him. Once Razzo was cornered by a real nasty Big’n Slaver named Aka-ly he was near dead when the creature shoved Razzo through a wall and luckily a portal laid behind it. The randomizer shattered and sent Razzo, unconscious to a different pocket dimension.
